Definitely many of us would have faced this issue.
''Cannot delete the thumbs.db file''
Though it is just a matter of few kb, it annoys and discomforts us when we have something we really don't need.
So here is how you can delete the 'Thumbs.db' file.
- Open the Run dialog box (Windows Key + R)
- Type 'gpedit.msc'
- Choose Local Computer Policy and select User Configuration.
- Hit Administrative Templates, then Windows Components and hit Windows Explorer.

- Double click the property in the main pane 'Turn off the display of thumbnails and only display icons'.
- Enable it and hit Apply.
